Ward Melville Wins Suffolk County Boys Golf Title
Ward Melville boys golf has captured a Suffolk County championship.
The No. 2 Patriots (15-0) beat No. 12 Southampton at Rock Hill Country Club.
Palmer Van Tuyl shot a 1-over 37 on the back nine to seal it for Ward Melville.
This makes two straight titles for the Patriots.

James Alden from Northport was the Individual champ.
Also is the picture of the nine players who qualified for the State Tournament in June.
Four Ward Melville players are on the team. It is the first time ever that so many players made it from one team.
Shelter Island Students Job Shadow at Section XI
Jalill Carter (l.) and Tyler Gulluscio from Shelter Island were part of their school’s junior class job shadow day and spent the day at Section XI.
They sat in on the fall playoff seeding meeting and got a first-hand look at athletic administration.
Section XI, Team Up 4 Community/ NYSPHSAA Community Service Challenge
Calling all coaches to submit your teams’ Community Service Work into the NYSPHSAA Community Service Challenge.
NYSPHSAA is partnering with Team Up 4 Community to provide a FREE platform for students, coaches, teams, administrators, and schools to apply for the NYSPHSAA Community Service Challenge.
TU4C’s platform provides a way for you to showcase your community involvement and make your impact known!
Submissions end June 1, 2020.
In addition to the NYSPHSAA winners, Section XI will choose a winner as the “2019-2020 Section XI Community Service Project of the Year.”
