This year’s Section XI Boys Golf Individual Championships offered an exciting two days of competition.

We had an extra playoff between Riverhead’s Colby Baran and Westhampton’s Owen Jessup, where Jessup prevailed and was crowned this year’s champion golfer in Section XI.

There was a three-way tie for the 10^th alternate spot between Mount Sinai’s Jaxon Caruso, Southampton’s Ethan Heur, and Easthampton’s Nico Horan-Puglia. Caruso prevailed after a two-hole playoff to determine 10^th place alternate for states.  In June, the top nine finishers will go to states at Mark Twain Golf Course in Elmira.
