Ward Melville High School has won the Suffolk County girls swimming and diving championship in 2018.

Northport was the runner-up.

Next up, the NYSPHSAA Championships on Nov. 16-17 at Ithaca College starting at 8 a.m.

The Brentwood/Bay Shore girls swimming team was recognized with the Sportsmanship Award presented by the Suffolk County Girls Swimming Officials Association during the Section XI championships.
