During the 50th anniversary of Title IX, it’s perfect that Abby Rolfe has made history as a young woman paving the way in Section XI.
Rolfe, a senior at Port Jefferson High School, just finished an incredible varsity baseball season, hitting .438 with 29 RBI, 15 runs scored, four stolen bases and 19 walks. She also had a .571 on-base percentage and 1.093 OPS.
She is also the first young woman to record hits in the Section XI playoffs.
For her efforts she is now the first young woman to be named as All-County in baseball in Section XI history.
