Sayville’s Jack Coan Plays in Rose Bowl

It’s not every year you see a Section XI alum playing in a major college football bowl game.

Sayville’s Jack Coan started for Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl and came up just short after Oregon beat the Badgers, 28-27.

Coan, one of Long Island’s most prolific passers, was 23-for-35, for 186 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception. He also rushed twice for eight yards.
