Lax Out Cancer is May 10 at SWR

Lax Out Cancer is an annual lacrosse fundraising event which recognizes local families who are battling cancer and raises money to help them fight.

It is run completely by volunteers. Lax Out Cancer began in 2009 when the Shoreham Wading River lacrosse community raised money for a family of a local child battling cancer.

This amazing fundraiser has become an annual event and every year it has attracted more attention, volunteers, and contributors. 5% of the proceeds will be donated to the Boys Lacrosse Program & 5 % will be donated to the Girls Lacrosse Program.

Lindenhurst Hosts Lax Game in Honor of Morgan’s Message

On Thursday, April 25, the Lindenhurst Girls Varsity Lacrosse team, led by head coach – Mike McGuire and assistant coach – Danielle Santagato – ran a Morgan’s Message event organized by seniors Nina Tantillo, Emma Colford, and Isabella Wolff to promote Student-Athlete Mental Health and overall Wellness.

The Bulldogs were joined by coaches and team members of the Lindenhurst Youth Community Lacrosse League (made up of athletes from 1st grade through 7th).
Prior to the game, all attendees colored a Morgan’s Message Butterfly to self-reflect on mental health and wellness.
