We’re excited to announce the February nominees for our Island Federal – Section XI Scholar-Athlete Award. Please join us in congratulating Noelle and Riley!
Noelle Jordan is the sole member of the Center Moriches Girls Swim Team, but represents the school well, qualifying for both County and State Championships. Outside of the pool, she is a strong academic student participating in the school’s I.B. program.
Riley Oliver is a proud member of the Ward Melville Cheerleading Team. She has a wide range of interest and has taken classes in graphic design, forensics, and criminal justice. She is very involved in the Three Village community and participates in the Honor Society, Student Government, and the Three Village Lemonade Stand raising money Stony Brook Children’s Hospital
Noelle and Jordan are automatically added to the “Watch List” and will be considered for the Island Federal – Section XI Scholar-Athlete Scholarships to be given out this June!

You will start to see more of this across Section XI and we’re excited for the growth in the game and excitement for these students and schools!
South Country’s Robert McIntyre honored as NYSAAA Chapter 11 Athletic Director of the Year! Congrats and thanks for all you do!
Congratulations to former Brentwood athletic director Kevin O’Reilly on being inducted to the New York State Athletic Administrators Association Hall of Fame.

Congratulations to Northport Field Hockey Coach Gina Walling on her selection by Max Field Hockey as New York State and Region Coach of the Year!
Walling led her team to an undefeated state championship campaign for the first time in program history.
There are multiple Section XI boys and girls lacrosse programs ranked in Lacrosse Magazine’s National Top 25 to open the season.
