Center Moriches senior Sean Braitwaite is the program’s all-time leading scorer and also reached a significant career plateau this past week: 1,500 points!
Brentwood beat Elmont, 72-58, in this year’s Nassau-Suffolk Challenge.
Bryce Harris, named game MVP, had 30 points and 16 rebounds to lead the undefeated Brentwood squad.

Congratulations to Islip’s Jack Spahn for reaching career win No. 100!

Congratulations to Ward Melville’s Lauren Hansen on scoring career point No. 1,000 this season!
The Auburn-bound Hansen was recognized on the court during a game this season.
Harborfields varsity girls tennis coach Bob Davis has been selected by the National Federation of State High School Associations as the recipient of the 2017-2018 Northeast Coach of the Year for Girls Tennis.
This is an honor that is considered the hallmark of athletic achievement as recognized by the National Federation. In the fall, Bob became the recipient of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Girls Basketball Coach of the Year Award, a proud honor in it of itself. Due to his NYS recognition, Bob was automatically nominated for this prestigious award.
Coach Davis is most deserving recipient for this honor amongst coaches of the sport in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island and New York (well over a thousand high school tennis coaches).
We are tremendously proud of Bob and this is a tremendous honor for Section XI as well.
Although Bob has amassed an incredible record with well over 400 wins throughout his storied coaching career, he would humbly say that his successes are not the records, but the relationships he has made with his student-athletes over the course of his career.
Bob is a man of integrity who cares about young adults and treats them as if they are his own children. He encourages, motivates and inspires his athletes with dignity, encouragement and patience. It is no wonder why his athletes love and respect him.
Congratulations to Sachem East and Mt. Sinai on winning the Section XI Dual Meet Wrestling Championships, respectively.
