The Brentwood boys varsity basketball team stopped by Northeast Elementary to observe and participate in Hot Shot Basketball.
The team had the opportunity to watch skill development at the elementary level as well as engage with students.
This unique experience allowed younger students to learn from and be inspired by varsity student-athletes.
It’s with great sadness that Section XI mourns the loss Sachem teacher and coach Matt “Dezy” DiStefano.
The founder of the “Dezy Strong Foundation has left a lasting impact on the Section XI region for all that he has done in motivating student-athletes and coaches.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Matt’s family and friends during this difficult time.
