Sayville AD Ryan Cox Named NYSAAA Emerging AD Honoree
Congrats to Sayville Athletic Director Ryan Cox on being named an Emerging AD Award honoree by the New York State Athletic Administrators Association.
Cox is the co-author of a NYSAAA course about dealing with change.
North Babylon’s Jasmine McKay Scores 1,000th Point
Congratulations to North Babylon junior guard Jasmine McKay who scored her 1000th point this season!
NYSPHSAA Wrestling Championship Results

Section XI had two NYSPHSAA wrestling champions: Shoreham-Wading River’s Gavin Mangano at 131 pounds and Mount Sinai’s Brayden Fahrbach at 138 pounds. Both in Division II.
Fahrbach was also named NYS Division II Most Outstanding wrestler.
Congrats to both on their outstanding seasons!

BBP Winter Track Has Fastest Relay in America
Being the fastest in Suffolk County is one thing, but being the best in the country in the 4×800 relay is another level entirely.
The girls’ winter track relay at Bayport-Blue Point ran the race in 9:18.99, beating the program’s national record set in 2002 by 16 seconds.
Ansley and Ava Brogan, Sophia McInnes, and Maddie Jensen set the record and qualified for nationals during a meet at Yale last month.

Section XI Boys and Girls Playoff Brackets Released
Hills West’s Anthony Raio Competes at PLL Combine Invitational
Anthony Raio from Hills West is one of the country’s top prep lacrosse players. He is committed to UNC.
In late January, he was invited to perform at the Premier Lacrosse League Combine at IMG Academy in Florida.
This invitational, sponsored by STX, hosts “the best high school lacrosse players in the world.”
