As we close another school year we say thank you and goodbye to some very hardworking athletic administrators.

At an end of year luncheon for athletic directors, Section XI honored the following individuals who are retiring: Bob Panariello (Bay Shore) Georgia McCarthy (Huntington), John Valente (Harborfields), Drew Walker (Hampton Bays) and Dr. Jim Wright (South Huntington).

Gina Curiale (Longwood) and Kevin O’Reilly (Brentwood) retired last year, but there was no luncheon due to COVID-19.

Half Hollow Hills Athletic Director Deb Ferry was also presented with her NYS Athletic Director of the Year plaque at the luncheon.
